Pick one up here!!

Finished up some somewhat mundane web work this morning and I had a few hours to kill. It was wet and cloudy, but I thought what the hell? Might as well go paint. I was talking to the homie Skept on the phone as I pulled up to the wall, together we came up with a plan. I was going to paint a simple 2 color fill and then a nice contrasting outline, it was suppose to be a very minimal color scheme. I was going to go Painters touch dark blue and royal on the fill with a key lime outline. Well the dark blue and keylime cans were both shot, full with no paint coming out. So the plan was shot. So cold and, a little wet, and a plan that did not work out and it made for a not so inspired piece.

Have not call all the draft stuff installed yet so we had to stick with bottles for the night

For February’s piece I am showing off my shoe fetish a bit. This is a piece I painted in 2010, and is still a piece I really enjoy seeing. It is approximately 14″ by 22″ and is acrylic on wood. Once again framed and ready to go! For all the details and to sign up check out the free art page.

The holidays are upon us…

It is probably obvious by the look of the site that I have been heavily influenced by comic books. Here are just a few shots from my personal stash.

For the month of December, I am going with one of the pieces from my Monster series. We all have a litte bit of a monster in us, right? I had fun on this one and it was actually the inspiration for the latest redesign on my website. It is a 15″ by 16″ acrylic on wood, and will once again come framed and ready to hang.

How?
Simply send an email with your name and the words “Free Art” in the subject or message to yo@iwishthatitwouldrain.com. At the end of the month, there will be a random drawing. If your name is drawn, you win! I will then send you an email asking for details on how you would like to obtain your new piece of art! I will cover shipping to the Contiguous United States. I am more than happy to ship elsewhere, but have to ask for some compensation.
